Rangers increasingly worried about Gerrard after PL club offer

Rangers are growing more concerned about Steven Gerrard’s future at Ibrox, according to Give Me Sport.

The football news website claims “there is a feeling in some quarters that Tottenham could start to turn their attentions to Gerrard” as the Premier League club struggles to hire a new manager.

It is understood that senior figures at Ibrox are now worried about Spurs making a move for the Gers boss, who has also been the subject of an offer from an unnamed Premier League club.

Absolutely no chance

Rangers’ top-brass might be growing concerned about Tottenham making a move for Gerrard but they should not be concerned about him wanting to quit Ibrox to head to North London.

We would only be properly worried about losing Gerrard if Jurgen Klopp left Liverpool any time soon because no job is going to be more attractive than the Gers manager than that one.

Gerrard has recently led the Light Blues to their 55th league title without suffering a defeat and a Champions League campaign lays in wait.

Everything is going swimmingly behind the scenes with a really good squad of players being built.

Why would Stevie G ditch that to head to Tottenham? Harry Kane might not even be there next season while they will only be playing in the new Europa Conference League and not the Champions League as we will.

At the end of the day, if we see reports linking Gerrard with jobs in the Premier League – especially at teams like Tottenham – then it’s a good thing because it means everything is going well at Ibrox.

But them wanting him and him wanting them are two different things altogether.

In other Rangers news, the Gers are ready to bid £2.5million to sign this attacker.
